A Tillandsia is a Bromeliad...but not all Bromeliads are Tillandsias. Bromeliad is the Family name. Tillandsia is the genus. Airplants are the common name for Tillandsias Not all Bromeliads are Airplants. Air plants grow without soil while most types of Bromeliads do best in soil.

This Bromeliad Can grow up to 36" in diameter but most stay around 12" the leaves are banded with dark green and powdery white/gray with large pink flower at the center of the bracket. grows as a terrestrial or epiphytic.
